12.1 - Blank Assignment

I wanted to revisit stop-motion, as well as digital storytelling while using Procreate. My challenge to myself was to see if I could tell a story with black lines, only. It had started with a frame in the middle, where the two lines are jumping in sync and then split. I used this moment as a turning point in the narrative - would the other line come back? And then it somewhat morphed into a Romeo and Juliet re-telling (though this wasn't on purpose at all, I only realized it after the fact).

I had to make some adjustments along the way. In the end when the one line "dies" (sorry, spoiler!) I initially didn't duplicate the frame, so the "dead line" ended up moving which didn't support the narrative very well. I also had to play a lot with timing to heighten the drama. So while it's a simple story, there were a lot of complex operations afoot.

Sorry this isn't a robust entry. I am ill.
